Oooooh yessss painting time. I like it. It doesn't look "very, very yellow" above. I also like that color.

Thanks Mr Chef, painting time is THE time to get back what you put in to a model I reckon.
The vallejo colour is a bit closer to a desert yellow in my mind.
A lot more pale than the yellow in the subject picture.
However, it does not respond over hairspray like Tamiya stuff does.
I have had a lot of crazy-cracking in larger flat areas.
Not a failure, just different. And at least I'm willing to try a different brand!!

Now I can log in by phone(long story :/ ) again, I can load pics I had just before I went away out West.
Ahh outback Aus..............hotter than a German porn movie, more flies on you than in a UNICEF advetisment :eh:
Thats just the way it is out here.

The subject pic has very dark camo patches on it. I gave the Vallejo Sinai Grey a test on a bit of scrap but it didnt look right.
So I made a blend of Tamy XF-27 Black Green darkened with a dash of XF-1 flat black to further darken it.
Seems to my eye to have the right shade when applied over the very light Sand Beige compared to the subject pic.
As this vehicle is going to have 2 distinct sides, one with bare exposed roadwheels and the other with anti-RPG mesh armour, I can mix up the effects a lot.
Once I get home that is ;)

Home, shagged, sunburnt, & a thirst you can see with a naked eye from the International Space Station...................
I'll watch some Moto GP, have a (A ??) drink & go to bed
