Herr Hamm: Time will tell if the tracks I have are durable enough. The tracks certainly are more than five years old. Despite missing other parts, Asiatam did send tracks too long by six links as well as a few extra single track sections. The extras are good to have. I removed the six extra links, and I glued in one track pad with E6000 (“shoe goo”) to see how well it holds. Now I must patiently wait hours for the E6000 to set and if that succeeds, I can glue in all the pads, wait 48 hours, and finally drive the chassis around a bit.

Slow and steady wins the race. So “they” say.

With the track pads secured, I have the chassis running. The electronics are fine; the steering is effective, but for a huge turning radius, as I expected for this monster.
The tracks, however, walk up on the drive sprockets. I was never able to get the drive sprockets off, for they came installed ( :-< ) and no amount of pulling gets them off the shafts. I am still fiddling with the (apparently useless, decorative) rollers and their mounts, trying to get them straight and narrow so they don’t misalign with the tracks.

I am looking for hinges I can use for the toolbox doors. The smallest I can find are 8 mm x 10 mm, perhaps small enough, but I’m open to tips.

Thank you! I am also considering attaching the tool box doors with magnets, but the right hinges would be better because then I could display the boxes on the forward outsides of the FAMO open with tools, etc.inside. In fact, I would like to hide all the electronics, battery, etc. along the frame, under the hood, or under the seat bottoms so that I can fill the box with all kinds of nifty stuff as you did.

Hello Mr.Doc,
you don't need hinges!
What you need is a drill with Ø0,8mm, with it you drill through the existing hinges.
Additionally you need 2x eyebolt and suitable wire.
Works perfectly:

Doch, haben Sie mich geholfen, denn es scheint mir als ob ich tagelang so einen Augenschraube/Ringschraube im VS online zu verkaufen versuchen habe. Danke!

Oh, you’ve helped; it seems as if I have been looking online all day for that sort of miniature eyebolt for sale here in the US. Thank you
