More little things..............
The inside o the loaders hatch needs something.
Made up a near enough latch just to keep moving on it.
The goodies I need from Germany have still not let the DHL depot at the airport :wtf:
Was one overnight from order to depot, its been just on 6 weeks now.

Hey, Dave F. Bear.............can you have a word with them ;)

Nice work on that sliding latch, Col. Bix. Yep, it's those little things, isn't it?

I hear your frustration on the shipping question. Let's just hope that this does not become the 'new normal" but, I have growing fears...

Great progress !

I know the feeling of having goods blocked at the airport, one of my speaker was at the airport for 2 months and a half and 2 months for on one of my HL panzer IV chassis, that's very frustrating.

Cheers Mr Schwpzr I too fear the new normal is extended postage times. But the rare things I get from Forgebear seem to jet here on a fully catered charter flight with night club & dancing girls its that quick, the man is clearly well connected :shh: :shifty:

Merci Mr Tox, it just seems to restrain the natural feel for progress when vital parts are delayed. I did try to accumulate parts required prior to the build, but I didnt think the few bits I needed would be so dragged out.
Ahh well, its not a race after all.

Very minor progress, really just trying to do something other than shove it in a box & start something else :/
Ran the weld texture over the casemate roof, and added the brass mesh screen on the air intakes.
I suppose I could make tool handles and get the jack ready & stuff like that, but that is not really the order I like work work in .
Oh well, we wait............... :problem:

Wunderbar , my stuff has just now arrived from Tank Modelblau after sitting in the departure lounge bar getting blind & picking up hostesses for two months :/
As soon as I get home today I’m back into the StuG Life

Back into the "StuG life" and it feels gooooooooooodddddddd................. ;)

In the time Ive been waiting for vital bits to turn up from overseas I have put together a Tiger 1 V7/6.1s for a mate.
V7 out-V6.1s in. Going to be an Italy Tiger at some point.

Now, the Stug.
Once the flash was trimmed off the parts & then cleaned up, fitting them was a 2 minute job.
The frontal section of cupola armour and remote M.G. mount(M.G. not used in my subject picture)went on in a flash.
The Topfblende needed a bit of a clean up through the barrel hole, but went together a treat and is ready to mount tomorrow after priming in the right places.
The Mato barrel is an easy interchange for the H/L one and once my option of muzzle brake is fitted, will be a good representation.
Not so easy is the method of getting the resin return rollers(with no rubber tyres) to go on the axles & mounts.
They need bushes or some such support.
I will use brass tube(thats 'toobe' to you left -hand-drivers ;) ) to allow the resin rollers to run safely over the 3mm stainless pan head hex bolts.
Not sure exactly how or what I will use for that, but at least I have a plan.
Just feels good to have the rush of progress................( like after drinking a bottle of 'Toilet Duck' :shifty: :shh: )
MMMmmmm, gimme the StuG life anytime baby

Herman!
A 2 month wait for a 2 minute install. That's the StuG Life all right. :o)

It sure is mate!
Got the return rollers fitted as well.
They are a bit light for heavy use but for the amount of work I expect this will see, they should be sufficient.
A quick drill out to take a short section of brass tube as a bush & on they went.
They won’t be visible behind the skirts anyway, so I actually could have used any rollers.
But I know they are there!
