another bottle question fellas
on average how many jars of tamiya paint would be needed for a 1/16 tank?
( just curious on how long different brands cover )

Oh, sorry about the slow response... I find that airbrushed Tamiya goes a long way because the coverage is quite good even with just two light coats. Coverage can differ even among colors by the same manufacturer, but in general O.D. covers well. Because I like the O.D. color, I use Testor's Model Master O.D. in both bottles (for touch up and airbrushing) and spray bombs (quick and easy, a bit heavy, so go lightly). However, I understand that the Testor's paints are to be discontinued. Rats!

Don't forget that while you can paint straight from the bottle you would do yourself a favour if you thin your paint with Acrylic Thinners (Isopropanol) first,
Just add it as you stir the paint.

A small Tamiya bottle cut 50% /50% with alcohol uses about 3/4 of the jar for 2 coats...
