Makes the most practical sense. Hate to see this beast sidelined by bad gears again. Good luck Jhamm

Jhamm I assume the final drives are steel? Can't believe they provided a brass gear for the motors. I can only imagine how frustrating it is for you.

Any news on possibly getting them reproduced in steel?

Depressing  Have you heard of other Panther builders experiencing the same problem with the gear cluster? The product looks utterly amazing, but clearly the gears are poorly made, and the manufacturer should replace them with stronger versions. The 'solution' looks impressive, but are you able to machine it yourself, or, are you proposing to get the maker to use it? :eh:
Hope you get some better news soon... The project looked perfect until the 'field trials'.

Hi,
I will do that myself.
have to make the three aluminum plates at CNC milling machine and on the lathe drill the bevel gears - thas all.

Please take plenty of photos of the parts being made. It is rare for one of us to be able to manufacture such specialist parts.

I'll second that! The process can only be one we mere mortals- with only plastic and glue- can aspire to, and be instructed by.
