That happens when you break the rules. I've never had a post deleted or edited on RCU.Matdragon wrote: ah lol, yep your right guys started off as a joke and then didnt remove it, have taken it off now.. didnt realise people would take it to heart so much. well you can really say much about freedome of speach on RCU (see you can say it LMAO) every time you write something about another forum it either gets

-post deleted
-thread deleted
-all of the above and pm's deleted
-all of the above and account banned.
Like I said, I Mod a small 40k forum and when someone breaks the rules I edit the post and say which rule they're breaking, but sometimes when things are busy I just delete the post with no explanation. Occasinally you'll get someone (it's usually a teenager*) who joins, post things that break the rules then it's "teddy from the pram" time when they get edited. They then starts going on about freedom of speech and calling the mods Nazi's and generally being a pain in the ass. Most times I've been able to talk about it and the member eventually calms down but sometimes they don't and they end up getting banned.
RCU is a huge forum and the tank section is only a small part of it (9476 members logged in at the moment and 14 are viewing the tank section). Mods don't have time to sit down and discuss everyones problems. It's easier to just delete posts that break the rules then ban the member if they keep breaking them. So yes they can be a bit quick with the delete button on RCU, but if you've spent over an hour editing other peoples posts then deleting stuff soon becomes the easier option.
Anyway Mat, I think you're doing a good job here but wait till you get people joining who think you're rules suck and they can do a better job.
* It's 40k so most of the members are teenagers
