Thanks for the good words. I don't know about mastering the printer, it's still fighting back on some of the stuff. The biggest problem is getting the CAD work right. You design something and it looks good and it all seems to fit together, but when you print, the parts wind up slightly larger than the design because the material 'spreads' slightly during the print process.
Also the strength of the end result is not as good as I expected, so most of the designs are having to be revisited and reprinted to make them sturdier. I have just had a catastrophic fail of the gun cradle support (the bit the links the cradle to the gun base) as the end result was so flimsy it broke as I tried to get it off the printer base. DUH!

Very impressive, as usual, Alwyn.

3-d printing is a logical step forward for scratch builders...cost and learning curve issues aside

However, there's one thing missing from the background of your well stocked workspace; one often seen in that is often seen in the majority scratch builders' mancaves: the 12-year old malt, or full-bodied red

I have a secret supply but don't tell the missus. It is an essential medicine for scratch builders to preserve sanity and it's usually Black Bush malt but not kept in plain sight. Hic!

Good morning,
I dunno, I think 'Mastery' is a good word for what you coax out of that Machine. Bourbon over here, 120 proof for when harsh language just isn't enough. ;o)

Painless

Awesome, I wish there was a kit for this tank. At WoT it is one of my favorites where I am in the progress of triple mark it. Hope to see a video of yours running, soon. Cheers.

Hi Soeren, there used to be a Jukenberg kit for this tank but he retired. Apparently someone else has acquired his moulds etc sothey will be selling them quite soon.
