The plot thickens: where is the wellspring of the mysterious Brigadier's seemingly endless video treats? :eh: ?...certainly off the beaten track (*or tracks, for tankers..
Here's a bit of excitement for ya 43.............
Spoiler: show

thing is...it's about as exciting as it can get here on the board ;)

Fiat Lux! and lo, there was light...South Park, Family Guy, Manga, World of Tanks, Youtube..I begin to get the picture, from the lofty heights of my metaphorical quadcopter. However, If I happened to really diversify into the Go-Pro- on-quadcopter realm, I'd certainly give that 'asswipe' on the beach a miss. The vigilante type of thing is bad enough, ..especially over trivialities, but the 'citizen's arrest' of the hapless youth with the 'copter, where the hectoring harpy sought to crush his gonads with her right leg, was way out of line...and it's lucky he had his trusty iPhone 6 to hand, although some sand in her face (as per stereotyped muscled beach bully of the 1950s), might have served justice better :haha: :haha:

I got a quadcopter in the mail today. So far I'm not sure it's for me. Damn thing is hard to fly, and I have it set for "Junior".

You're braver than I Max ;) ...the last thing I flew were Helicopters...the new ones are ok...but dang...You just can't rest your eyes...and in general they always land bad lol

I was tempted when I tried a mini drone....but I passed...remembering the old saying "what goe up must come down" and a well learned lesson in both airplanes and helicopters...that being Gravity is not your friend :/

Tanks are the best....though cars are similar...tanks are more controllable ...and for the most part don't go slamming into things :lolno:

With that said...it's too bad PHIL or HORSES aren't here that often....they took flight quite easily and had some nice video and photos to share ..you probably could have got some tips from them ;)

The Question left hanging....Were those videos more entertaining than the ones you found :haha: :haha:

The quad I got is one of those mini quads, the one that will fit in the palm of your hand. My living room ain't big enough!

It was under $20US and it will give me some idea of my abilities with three dimensional stuff. With the tanks it's all o one plane, now i have to figure in up and down, too, and this little bugger doesn't like to stay in one place. They say the better quality drone quads will pretty much hover by themselves.

Yea your right there the smaller ones are actually a lot harder to fly than larger ones a lot less tech, but good practise and manual flying's a lot of fun..I bought a Phantom 3 a while back, its so easy to fly it almost fly's itself..

One thing about those little buggers is that they can take a lickin and keep on tickin......But like Jake said...they are a little harder to fly...but you still have the fundamentals there...and they are still way better than the tiny helicopters ;)

The down side for me is they require too much attention lol...in other words ...just not relaxing enough :eh:

:haha: :haha: I found there's a two types people who come over to me when I'm out and about with the drone, the guy's who take a real interest and ask you 100 questions about it, and the other people who like remind me it's illegal to film or fly near people, and could seriously harm them or drop out the sky at any moment :haha: ..I tend fly mine in the evening's when there's fewer people around, it's much more fun if you can find a quiet place to fly, even the interested guy's become annoying asking all those questions..I'm quite lucky my house backs on to open fields and I'm a few minutes walk away from the beach...I feel sorry for people who live in the city , not much room and so many do gooders airing their views , I've seen a lot of bad press on drones lately..
