AT, If you can't find any in England, (its real common in the US) you can make it yourself by taking the graphite out of a writing pencil and grinding it down yourself with very fine sandpaper. It's a rather messy job though.

Alwyn,
Good Morning. Beautifully done. You've taken the Hobby Engine Abrams to new heights of detail and useability.

You have a good looking HE. Is it as white looking as the photo ? To make it a little better try making some grenades for the turret launchers or just some covers to put over then ( the real ones are just a cloth sack shaped like the launcher that is cinched over them to keep gunk out).

Hi Greengiant, the light is deceptive, it's actually a cream colour/very light brown quite faithful to the actual colour in the middle east. I actually started drilling out the grenade launcher to add some grenades but haven't got that far yet. I'll do that after lacquering. There's also some insignia/ black stripes to go on as well, maybe a name - I saw one with Ghetto Blaster II on the gun barrel which I thought might go well. Alwyn

AT, glad to hear its not white and you have plans for the grenades. There is a site that shows a list of barrel painted names that gives I think 6 or eight different choices. I'd try to guide you to it but I just stumbled on it while researching for my build of the HL Abrams I ordered.
