Kt (oz-inch/amp) = 1355 / Kv (rpm/v).
Torque constant goes up as kv does down.

The problem has been amps in the past, and cooking the mosfets in the mfu.
My TIGER AT 20LBS USING GRAUPNER SPEED 400 was pushing the max. 1.5amps and that was barely possible because of the double fan system and heat exchange rate,I had low end power due to gearing,yet these motors would solve so many problems for my Torro King Tiger and even my Tiger. Ok where to purchase the motors and the pinion gears,as that was an issue as well.
I have been absent to long in 1/6th land. My Torro needs some power,lets hook it up. The KT deserves the power.

The stand alone electronics will be the key, and possibly resurrect several of my older tanks which just cooked board after board because of the amperes frying the RX18's. Stand alone electronics will though present the same issues of feature control and sound? Look forward to your solutions Chris.

My last two builds before I stopped and life got in the way, these tanks have some unique features,the PORSCHE has my last recoiling airsoft gun design and SUPER SMOKER which I mention because of the stand alone controls issue. The Torro is basically stock but needs a working gun,smoker and massive power as it is my best tank. I am certain Chris your ideas have value in helping me achieve my goals.So here we have two test monkeys,lets create a monster pair ok?

Chris i think you are onto something and it's just fine. To have one thread with advanced mods is a good idea - you can look at the subject lines and decide if that's something you want to try, and you have a list all in one thread instead of having to search the whole internet and become a member of every forum in the known world to find some bit of information. Don't let a little criticism stop you unless a moderator thinks differently!
Incidentally, the glue that member Eastern Front mentions for gluing the bearings, Tenax 7R, you can get on amazon. To glue metal to plastic, which you often have to do on our tanks, iss a tricky thing, I'm thinking of giving this stuff a try. As for the wheels, I use silicone shock oil for model cars, a drop on each side of the hub. This stuff will not react to plastic - even that "silicone lubricant" in the rattle cans has petroleum in the carrier, and you don't want that anywhere near styrene plastic. They even make different viscosities of the stuff. I'm told the thicker shock oil works well on gearboxes.

well, i for one think chris has a darn good idea. as it was said, more wieght, more friction,heat,ect. i plan to make my panther as heavy-duty as possible, i don't have any friends here with tanks, all 4x4,rock crawlers, so iam gonna do the bearing thing soon as my taigen metal hull arrives. i can't keep up with them in speed, but i plan to be able to out climb em.less rolling resistance the better.keep up the great info chris, i'll read it! jeff.

for plastic lube try super lube synthetic grease, ptfe multi purpose. temp range -45-+450 f. -43ca-+232c. keeps the bolts from freezing on my ak-47's when i lived in minnosota. don't hurt plastic. get it on amazon,in a tube. they make a spray as well, don't know if carrier in spray hurts plastic, bye.

The post became the most viewed post in forum History and remained so until the crash in 2010 killed the Photos.14 boards of step by step painting and weathering, I stripped my tank twice before finishing. Point being the changes in attitude this caused has served our forum very well.
Everyone has skill,if only shown technique,I am pleased you're willing to share your Engineered approach to this hobby. Its one I share.
Yet possible a little more subtle delivery might generate a wider interest? Just suggesting as a new member obviously attempting to share with others valuable techniques that you possibly slow down a bit so guys like me can keep up. I am still very much a novice, and will always be.

Thanks Chris some good info here for beginners like myself, very useful and well explained with pictures, just what we beginners need.
