Oh wow, would this be smaller than a fifth wheel for an articulated lorry? Or the same size?

Mick
im not familliar with that model, but here are the specs of the top hat 42.5mm wide x 41.5mm long
hope that helps in scaling to suit your needs.
we can make this 5th wheel just about any size needed.

Hehe, you could make it life size if you cut it into bits small enough to fit on the printer

All you need is a digital vernier, a scientific calculator, a pair of thick glasses & a white lab coat & you can scale anything Image

What you’ve got to remember is if you asked a youngster to read an actual vernier scale they would have a nose bleed followed by 6 months off with stress lol with an imperial vernier I guess they’d push it to 18 months

When I was a boy a new industrial estate had a large electrical component company and the whole of one side of the building facing south was the drawing office and it was filled with highly skilled draughtsmen drawing plans in exquisite detail by hand,
These were some of the best paid jobs in the engineering industry,
We were taught Draughtsmanship in Technical Drawing lessons to give us the opportunity to become top earners when we left school,
And then some Bast*rd went and invented the silicon chip and destroyed an industry and wasted five years of my and my schoolmates lives,
Progress BAH HUMBUG
