Sorry to hear that Alwyn.
Think I paid £396 for my S4
I’ve just paid £269 for an Ender 3 V2, it has a 32bit silent board, it’s a smashing piece of kit.
I’ll be getting an S5 shortly, but I’ll be upgrading it & the S4 with the new boards

If you want bigger I can thoroughly recommend the S4

Check the compatibility of those new boards before you buy Wayne, the Ender is a 24V system rather than the 12V of the CR-10 family, and the -10S machines use a different control screen that require a 2 cable interface, where as the older -10 and Ender screen use a single cable.

I love my S4, but only use it big things like 1/6, maybe the excuse is i have to print more 1/6 haha!
I like the idea of Ender 3 Max, so if that is released as similar price point as they say to a v2 or marginally more expensive i would get one of those for sure and then only 1 more Ender for direct drive conversion. The 300x300 would work perfect for printing kubelwagens as the Ender 3 is just a fraction too small. The S4 is just looks tiny on haha
I will keeping my eye out for the Max release date then.
The only thing that bugs me on the S4 is the time it takes to heat the bed, i would like to look at ways of speeding that up. Bloody 30mins!
Means not enough time in the morning when i wake up to quickly get a print going before work.
Maybe it needs a bigger power supply and then also maybe it will then be able to print these high temp materials aswell anyway

Well that was a complete waste of three days and a lot of effort for no result. I requested a return from ebay, they produced a pre-paid postage label, I packed it up and sent it off. The lesson is if it's rediculously cheap, then there's a reason, it's because it's only worth what they are charging and in this case not even that.
I will now just save up and get the proper printer and save myself a lot of grief and disappointment.
Ho hum it seemed like such a good idea......
