I build mine not to be easy to re-enter unfortunately.
As its got a used look about it, there is no loss of detail to worry about .
We have a model show coming up soon, so I would like to get it sorted by then.

Herman I run several IBU boards and without an amp they sound very good. I'd say your main issue is the speaker as you noted. If you need a better speaker in an enclosure I can help you out. I'd just have you cover shipping (not sure how much to you) but the speaker would be on me.
