Yeah, I couldn“t tell as well, if real or scale, only when I saw the Pictures form above 8)
:{ Thanks Mr Soeren, the exposed primer was a punt, but it works I reckon.

Davarama wrote:Awesome! easily my favourite WWII German AFV, I'll be getting round to my Torro JT soon. My other JT has all it's track guards etc. intact so the Torro will lose some of hers as I think the exposed tracks emphasise the brutish feel of these beasts.

I'll certainly copy some of the things you've done.

David.

You go your hardest Mr Dava, I agree the tracks-out look is pretty imposing, but like all things we like, sometimes a bit left to the imagination can be just as titillating ;)
If I had an option, I would try to make them removable like Panther Schurzen so I could have the best of both worlds

Ones on my Wechoe JT are removable, they have keyholes cut in them that hook over bolts on the JT. I'm thinking of magnets for my Torro JT. In fact everything works on Wechoe one but it's so fragile I've hardly ran it!

I guess thats the price of accuracy and high-end detail. :problem:
The running I did on club day was cool to see the tracks throwing up bits as they flapped & moved.
Speed not being on the agenda for these things it still didnt take much debris on the ground for it to be thrown from the tracks onto the lower hull.

HERM you have made a cracking job on that, and fair play with sticking at it as was a long build, Do you think you have saved money over buying a metal TORRO Jagdtiger just out of curiosity???? I need to get mine painted as the all red oxide really doesn't look as good as I though, Yours has to be one of my favorite builds.

Kind regards Andy

In short- yes.
Its different for me though, I have monopoly money for currency at the moment, and as the only Torro dealer is in 'Narnia' the postage/shipping is an insult to the injury.
Any build can be cut into 2 fixed cost sectors

- Electronics (option Elmod, clarke etc etc all of which are fixed and consistent)
- Base Tank. Option/version is again your choice, has consistent costs and depending on the version chosen, aftermarket parts are or are not needed.

This was the build that nearly got me out of the hobby in all honesty............not the way I like to build, lack or resources, and reliance on others to pitch in to help.
Once its started to come together though, that changed.
A genuine 'United Nations' build with many parts that I simply would never have had if it were not for the good will of the members in here.
That what got it done, and thats why I owe this one to a lot of folks in here...........

Thanks Mr Jake............it sure does cut an assertive presence in the 'tank field' on club day.
I really did want to capture a fair representation of one of these 'last ditch super weapons' in as natural condition as possible given its theatre of ops, and impending mechanical failure !

If I could figure out a way of getting accurate scale foliage, this would be covered in it I can assure you !!
