Was it commonplace for crews to wrap their tanks in impact-absorbing cotton wool before battles?

Well I have been patching up some scenery, done half of this one, before and after pics for comparison, plus one completed one with new fence posts. The cowshed and castle ruins have all been refinished, so its only a little more to do planting some grass and a bit of airbrushing and it will all be done. I even repaired the ambulance windscreen frame.

Looking good. I have roughed out a couple of walls. I am proposing to leave the finishing until I see exactly how they will be deployed. The mortar emplacement is effectively complete.

I was not sure I would be able to get it done in time, but it's looking good for Sunday - just a little extra for the village. It's a surprise!
