Hey Derek, hope all is well. I'd love to see you back at the Tiger again. You and TFTM are my main inspiration!

Tank and Sov,
Thanks for checking in, your right life has been busy. Promoted to Sergeant Major and now have a Rifle Company to take care of but have never lost the love for tanks. Kinda lost my wind when the TK 22 my wife got for Christmas 2013 crapped out on me. Bloody sound diode popped and smoked. Try to get one here in North America but have had no joy. Just recently contacted Clark in order to grab one from him directly or to find out the type. Then have the techs from base find it, clean-up the board and solder a new one on. She sure sounded nice for that half second before it went poof. Oh well, that's Tanking. Hopefully Clark will be able to set me up.
You boys have been busy, both of your projects to Outstanding, excellent detailing. It will great to see them complete. It's to bad were all over gods creation, we could taken the kitties out for a Combat Patrol. Anyway, I'll keep you informed on the outcome of the diode issue and start assessing the Tiger 1. Talk to y'all real soon.
Take care,
Derek

Great to ear from you Derek,
I had assumed that life had rather got in the way - but sorry to hear about the technical problems. As you will have seen from my blog I too had a few months' lay-off after I couldn't get the damn recoil to work - although my problem was simply down to a loose wire. If only yours was so simple!
Anyway, get back to the build whenever you can - and then get back to us...

I would just advise you to paint the teeth as bare metal. They were in contact with the tracks, of course.Red Devils wrote:Tell me if i'm doing to much, keeping in mind this was an early issue Befhels.

OK, it seems you are aiming for accuracy? And representing a specific Tiger?
If you want some comments on the choice of fine details, I will be happy to oblige, but you may not like what I have to say.

Good to hear from you Derek!
I've gotta get back to my tank, spending more hours on car stuff recently...
