Yes agree nice hull and heavy. Funnily after I was working on the KV I went to move my Tiger with asiatam hull and thought bloody light, then realised I removed the metal tracks at weekend as was covered in snow that why it was light.

I have the same problem with mine got it running this arvo and it keep spitting the tracks off its like the sprocket teeth are too close together

Removing the tracks on the KV is a royal pain . The mud scraper prevents the usual sprocket dodge , luckily with the Asiatam hull the idlers can be removed ( just ) by undoing the grub screws .

Few more upgrades planned like correct size metal barrel, recoil, flash unit, smoker. But bits are out of stock and spent way too much over last few months so best just enjoy it for now.

When you say idler, you referring to wheel at front of tank? Not certain how to remove this as track blocking access to grub screw (unless I’m remembering it wrong)

Yes , the front wheels ( even removing roadwheels will help ) I ground down an old allen key , you can get access through a track hole if you line it up just right ,it is still fiddly but once set up and running properly i don't intend touching it again if i can help it ! - Another way is to remove the scraper - I trimmed part of the inner rear 'lip' on my HL plastic one , I can pop it off now and get the sprocket off - the Asiatam ones are metal , different again , but the rearmost hole in the plastic sides can be CAREFULLY enlarged to do the same thing

I'll have a look when I can and see what I can do. Had thought about removing the road wheels but thought might be easier holding them up with eleastic bands or something.

Yeah thats how I get my tracks off by removing the front idler as Blimp says you just need to line up a track hole to stick your allen key through to access the grub screw.

I found a big rubber band around the road wheels and track return wheels holds up the road wheels and that gives enough slack to split the drive sprocket.

Well swapped round the track and still skipping on the drive sprocket and also other side so think the sprocket doesn't mate perfectly with the HL metal tracks. Will run it for now and see how I get on with it.

I was thinking of using the LED tail light which was supplied with the Asiatam hull as a barrel flash. Turns out the kit came with a white LED not much use for a tail light but not a problem for barrel flash.

Hi guys, plan was buy a HL IR kit and recoil unit ready for the Hyde meet. Then I was lucky enough to have these given to me from Blimp. Thanks mate.

So here is what I got.


Needed to use a few bits from current hull top to complete the transfer.


Completed turret.


As what I got was most of the motors and wiring complete I decided to install whole lot rather than messing around resoldering it all together.


Put back together I took a quick video but for some reason came out really grainy image.

So will post soon.
