That's good news,the Asiatam Tigers are tough. Solid runners.You might consider using bolts for your axles.I tapped the control arms to 3.5mm x 1.5 pitch shoulder bolts for axles. The one weakness in the asiatam hull is the set screw axle retainers. Look forward to you upgrade. Sax

Recently I finally finished the modification to my Jagdpanthers rear idler system,the aftermarket system works ok with the exception of the axle bolt. The kit ewquires the use of a Heng Long shoulder screw type threaded bolt.

This is fine for the factory system,but the after market system especially on the drivers side tends to cause the factory screw to loosen. Once this happens it always throws the track,which sucks.

So my solution was to remover the idler arm assembly,to drill and tap a 5mm x 1.00 threaded hole in place of the round un-threaded hole.The standard idler arm has no thread and relies on a small grub set screw to retain the axle bolt,since the factory bolt is threaded with a self tapping pitch the grub set screw cannot hold the bolt in place.

I substituted a Button head Phillip bolt @ 5mm,the bronze bushing fits this bolt well and thr button head is small enough to allow the wheel to be reassembled and fit tightly together. Please note I first used an ALLAN HEAD BOLT and found the head to thich to allow the two wheel sections to fit together flush.

Below are a few pictures and so far I've run through two charged batteries without throwing a track. This seems to of solved the problem.

Thanks Jaybird, The paintwork has faded into bull yellowish tint and I'm not to happy with that, I am going to address the Jagdpanther issue soon but first I need to get some other things sorted,another member had asked about the Installation of the tensioner kit and that caused me to get the Jagdpanther off the shelf.

I did enjoy running it yesterday as the Jagdpanther has always had some trouble with the tracks on the drivers side which is fixed finally.

Next i WILL GIVE IT A BATH,and see how the paintwork looks,might even install the night vision device which has never been installed.
