Re: Late Hetzer
hi i have removed the muffler which I think was only on the extreamly late /final model . I have made an exhaust with the spark arester . But at the mo it seems it needs to be fitted to the lower half of the tank so causing probs with the smoke feed pipe having to pop through the top . I did think of feeding smoke through another hole which would be hidden and fitting a dummy feed pipe in the correct position ? Work in progress.

Re: Late Hetzer
Hi Andy,
I have found that the new smokers from RC command work great. I put one in my LVTP-7 and have not had a lick of trouble out of it. When routing your exhaust, make sure you have the most direct line with no low spots. It should be a continuous upward or downward run for the smoke to be the most effective. I know, I'm probably telling you something you are already well aware of. Great build so far anyway!

Re: Late Hetzer
Hi herman , Yer mate thats what I thought . The exhaust is fixed to the lower half but the feed pipe comes from the top half into it . I didnt want the hassel of the top being attached to the bottom by the pipe . Ive now fixed the exhaust to the rear end panel , feed a pipe directly into it from inside the tank so it will flow ok . Then I need to make a dummy attachment to come from the top to the exhaust . All this so its not a final model . Probaly should of left the original one on
Thanks Andy

Re: Late Hetzer
hi andy the muffler exhaust was replaced with the flamm-vernichter, in october 1944, so the anti backfire/ flare exhaust was fitted to the late ones along with the disc camo [T 2], you want to do , the ambush pattern was T 1,hope this helps mate
