Yeah I've looked at it quite a bit while debating, it seems that the plates at least go to the top of the lower hull where the citadel bolts on.

There's a clear shot showing the lip from the top of the lower hull where it bolts to the upper. Yes there is a small gap. But it won't be seen on mine.

Ironically I actually over complicated the center return rollers hole. Looks just like the ends with a deep "U" instead of a hole.

With the tracks and wheels on much of it will obscured.

Thanks Alan. If it's remotely close its sheer luck but thought I'd try as I hated the idea of leaving the gaping holes.

once its painted and weathered no one will notice unless you point it out mate and even then they may not :thumbup:

So you cut the bolts of of a Panther. I wonder if the Panther was so cooperative that you were able to get the nuts, too.
