Naw son, just get you one of these

https://ebay.us/m/GvCEiT

It doesn’t have to be this one, you just need a JST XH 2.54 Y split with one male head and two female heads like the one in the link. Googling dual fan Jst XH Y split may reveal some good results as well.

Just make sure whatever you get that the polarity of the wires is the same, i.e. red goes into the red, black goes into black. If it doesn’t come this way the pins in the plugs can be removed with a small metal pick or tiny flathead screw driver.

Then you just turn all smoke on or off with the regular smoker button.

Alternatively you could buy a HL TK 7.1 (can’t remember if the 7.0 has an extra power slot for smoke/FPV, but I think it does), but you’ll have to do a bit of rewiring to make it work. However, the HL MFUs have excellent speed control compared to the Taigen V3. The trade off is the sound isn’t as nice and you lose the ability to use an aftermarket transmitter if you want.

If one day you decide to open the turret I would love to see pictures of how they connected the gun smoke mod. Since that plug provides power to the unit, I’m guessing there’s a gun smoke control card stuffed up in there.

I may end up getting a 2nd one with the IR on it and use the BB one as like a test bench for ideas and maybe in future turn it into a painitng project. But either way this is all future i kinda wish i got the IR one but the BB one is cool, just the led light flashing when im driving it around at like 7PM would be cool.

I looked at many sets of instructions for this thing and pictures show an MFU with 2 smoke power sockets in it on the very last page.
The MFU in this tank does not have 2 power sockets, only one. I do not know why this is, but it is.
So, you can have the exhaust smoke working when its plugged in, or, (not and) the stray JST plug under the turret ring is power for the turret mounted barrel smoke unit.
Controlled off the same switch (right hand side) of the Tx. Take one out-put the other in.
Turned it on, turned on the BB safety switch, wait, fired, got smoke out the barrel and a BB so it does work.
I did have to add fluid into the fill tube.
The filler tube is tucked back into the rear turret hatch, but I did leave the switch for it(hiding under the turret drive ring) -in the on position.
The BB safety switch is in the off position.

Please understand Mr Crusher that smokers in all our models are fickle and work until they dont. :/ most of us dont like or use them.
I am now satisfied that this Torro works as it should, apart from the original Tx having a busted starter switch that I still need to sort out for you.

The gearbox (s) work well and it has been trimmed to run straight. (that black knob on the Tx is the trim.)

I am off to Port Macquarrie on Thursday with the family & its 238kms from Maitland, if you want to come & get it, I will take it with me.
If not, I will see about the broken Tx switch & post it back once its sorted after I get back.

P.S, the silver you have put on it is not my vibe, but its not my Tank !! ;)

It works mate, it works
If it helps Bix, the most recent Tiger that came to my sanctuary is a fully functioning Torro mid with servo recoil, barrel flash and smoke. I can dissect the turret and share wiring but it'll have to wait till my next day off, Tuesday.

No need mate, the system on a BB is quite different from the IR versions.
No manual or wiring diagram shows the set up in the turret of this version.
Could be emails to Torro are required but for now it works albeit not as we would prefer it to !!

Really !! :wtf:
Well I'll be the monkeys uncle................
No way it came direct from Torro like that. Not a chance.
Must have been a thing that the supplier did but why on earth we may never know.

Hold off on buying anything mate, lets see about the entire operation of this.
Somethings off for me.
Can you send an email to the supplier explaining the problems, ask for guidance on the barrel smoke with a BB set up, and ask about the silver racing stripes.
I would be interested in the response.
No good me doing it, I was not the purchaser.
