I really love to watch your creations come together.

What's that white stuff in the back ground? Actually, my brother would be the one wondering that......

Yeah, i had a snow storm in past couple of days, i would say between 30 to 40 cm. It was barely zero Celcius so it stick to all the trees and other things. It's beautiful.

I want to point out that Eric's two brothers live where there ain't any of that white stuff, one in Hawaii and one in UAE. Note that both places are located about as far as possible away from their collective brother. Coincidence? I think not...

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas anyway!
Beautiful work on the Bradley. Doc! Anticipating -50 and -60 degree temps here this week. No snow just lots of frigid wind.

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas everyone,

Here is a progress report on the exterior of the vehicle, including the turret.

As seen in reference, bolts need to be mounted on the engine hatch. Although small screws are provided with the kit, these must be hex bolts, M1 were used.

The completed engine hatch. Those tie downs were positioned as seen.

All the bolted add-on armor needs to be added. Online kit instructions are provided by Carson as a set of images. I have selected important ones, copied images on powerpoint and printed them for convenience.

Every part needed their time in the microwave to make them flat, about 25 to 35 seconds each, ramping up to about 30 minutes of microwave time in total... Right after each part is heated, the parts are glued on the armor while still hot to ensure a perfect match as they would change shape again while cooling.

My kit is missing the right smoke dischargers. I sent an inquiry email to Carson if he can send it. Otherwise, i will have to scratch build it.

It is not because this is a kit that it must be assumed that everything is perfect with it. Comparison with references highlighted some differences that needed to be taken care of through scratch building. Be aware that Bradley vehicles of the same model have different configurations in the field. Both the Meng kit and pictures show a plate at the rear that is missing on the left side.

Supplemental armor should be on the rear top as shown on the Meng 1/35 kit.

Repro in 1mm plasticard. Adjustments were needed in order to adapt to the model. I did not redo the hinges for the top hatch.

On the M3A3 Cavalry vehicle, all the back periscope are mounted on the top hatch, they were therefore eliminated.

At first, i thought that the surroundings of the kit M2A3 driver's hatch were totally inaccurate. Not happy and I was planning modifications.

But then i noticed another picture of an M2A3 with a totally different setup, matching the kit. Good news.

I just did a small update and repositioned the small box for the fire extinguisher handle. Small thin parts provided in the kits will be added at the end of the build just before painting as they would be damaged during construction. The hook should be over a small plate but i did not do it. Removing the hook from the hull would break it completely.

The 25mm Chain gun was given a white LED at the tip. The tube is barely large enough to take on the wires.

The 3D printed machine gun was not strait and could not accept a fibre optic cable for flash. It was replaced by brass tubes with a fibre.

As seen in reference, the top of the turret has an add-on armored plate. Notice the tarp over the chain gun, something that will need to be reproduced because there is currently a large hole at that location that looks really bad.

It is not provided in the kit. It might be optional but was seen in all pictures.

I used the Meng kit as a template. It is not perfect. I am noticing a few mistakes that need correction.

The parts for the Commander's Independent Viewer needed to be given a brass pivot in order to be flexible and swivel.

The CIW is installed. It can swivel and the optical can be raised or lowered is stored position. I assume that smarter people could find a way to make it RC operable but the interior is very small and it would be very difficult. The CIW is huge and there is a lot of add-on armor that is increasing the weight of the vehicle. No wonder the performance of the Bradley went down compared to the initial version.

The TOW launcher has a servo inside. The servo needs to remain accessible for maintenance. The molding of the TOW launcher is not totally accurate and could be improved. I also have to install brass bolt to make it close, and keep it closed properly.
