I’ll post some photos of my setup and see if it’s what you’re looking for :)

As you know, in my WCP 4X4 truck, I hid the battery, etc., under a pile of equipment and radio. However, that radio and stand will work for the new 1/16 static Jeep kit, too.

A few more updates after taking a small break from assembling wheels, pressing bearings and all sorts on the 251s. Don't worry we haven't forgotten those, but my fingers needed a rest.

Updated with switch mount for esc & also detailed tow hitch, this one is not going to do any tow duties, so we took the opportunity to add some extra detail

A close up of the resin printed hitch

Dual geared motors give this little thing plenty of control

Yes its a tight squeeze, but its tried and tested and it works, JUST! the clearances between moving parts is small but runs clear and smooth

Oh, I see, new customers get a "New and improved" product :/

And Lee gets two extra side fuel/water cans

Oh, and, just how do you know it runs clear and smooth, the rear prop shaft isn't connected up :P :haha:

Hahahhahahhaha
It probably drive like thatAmerican car on Top Gear where the axle comes loose after they nail it, since the leaf spring bolts are also missing lol

I can speak to Cat about offering a retro fit upgrade kit to change models over to a resin body

Do I count 80 gallons? There's enough extra fuel on that desert rat to blow up the whole oasis. :O Or is that water? Let's see...
80x(8 lbs./gal. x 5 gals.)
= 80x40
= 3,200 lbs.
+ driver and gunner at 150 each
= 3,500 lbs.
Can a 1/4 ton 4X4 carry that much? ...and not overheat in the desert?
Can Brad Pitt with one .50 cal. hold off a whole troop of Panzerjäger with a number of Panzerfäuste?
...only on the movies! :haha:

Resin body... hmm... Radio gear? hmm...

You going to have to ask Lee, i think he is thinking it is going to be setup for long range missions behind enemy lines haha
The side cans i think would be water, whilst the others would be most likely fuel.
But with a few Vickers K on board, i think most people would be hiding for cover, so it wouldn't be soo much as a moving molotov cocktail!

Yeah the cans are hollowed out to maybe help hide some electrics away. It is going to be good to see how he gets on. We will be watching with interest once it has been put in the post
