Needed a longer time until my "Berta" was able to make the first moves outside, but today it worked :D

Impressive stuff as usual, Freddy. How do you find the sintered nylon parts? I'm curious about the finish and details you can get, I wonder how they stack up against FDM and SLA parts.

Thanks a lot!

Well, despite the surface is a little rough, sintered nylon (SLS of powder) is the best way for heavy duty parts like suspension, wheels, tracks etc., because it‘s stiff, flexible, wear resistant and stable.
Resin reproduces details a little better, but is not flexible, so breaking of parts can happen easier.
FDM depends on the printed material; some are good some not, but details are less and material isn‘t merged like SLS nylon.
I‘m used to ABS for FDM too; it was not that bad, but sintered nylon was much better especially for smaller parts.

Greets,
Freddy

The design phase is in progress. Here are some pictures of the current status:

Some test printing took place to improve the design.

More details have to be designed (especially the engine hood and at the inside of the hull), before the first prototype will be printed.

Available will it be here soon:

Keep you updated.

PJ66,

That turned out great! Perfect amount of weathering, not too much nor too little!

Cheers,
Eric.

"That turned out great! Perfect amount of weathering, not too much nor too little!" Yep, Panzerjaeger66, Eric put it well: I r-e-s-p-e-c-t your weathering skill. I hope I can learn to do half as well.

I would like to show you our revised version of the Sd.Kfz. 251 Ausf. B.

At first sight you don't see any (big) differences, but some things have been changed:
  • the hull has been optimized and fits perfect now (compare hull/hood before/after), the wall thickness reduced but still more stable than the first version. In addition, reworking of the hull to eliminate printer support structures is no longer necessary.
  • many former add-on parts (e.g. chain plates, storage boxes, headlights,...) are already integrated in the hull.
  • the profile depth of the front rim was increased.
  • the track rollers have been lowered minimally and in addition the rear idler has been raised slightly.
  • the wheel profile has been reworked face sided so that the layer gradations are less visible.
  • the hull bottom is closed, instead the fighting compartment floor is removable; this also results in better stability/rigidity of the running gear.
  • the trailer hitch is now designed to rotate to make it easier to move trailer loads off-road.
  • no PLA parts used anymore; for stable parts only PA12 was used and the rest is high strength resin.
But check yourself...

The quintessential look of the famous marque.
Like the real machine, the model is undergoing its own modifications and production improvements.
Top job Sir.
