On a lighter note i still have my K.T boxed so im going to get it weighed today to get a proper idea of postage costs to those members that live outside my range or who prefer postal delivery.

The K.T  should be ideal for this as it must be towards the heavier end of the range

I would prefer to use D.H.L as i get a discount, which will be passed on, see no con .no i must not be bitter, but if you prefer U.P.s royal mail etc no problem.

Those locations for meeting up on the M5 would be spot on for me too, fingers crossed for a good price and I may actually own a Tamiya! I'll still tell the wife it cost half of what it actually did though, I still have a use for my testicles.

If you live Bromsgrove that will not be a problem always in and out of there.

I'm sorry you regret offering your source and that you're offended.  I've been scammed before buying supposed automotive gauges 'dealer direct' and am just saying caveat emptor and be careful.

@r32. This is not a scam set up. Neither are we getting Tamiya's at 30% of retail. We are simply buying a shipment at trade prices, and paying trade prices. Everyone involved is known to us, we have been in contact with each other for a long time.  ;D

I could have acted as the co-ordinator, I thought about it, am I a con man? No. 35 years in the Financial Services industry, handling the biggest corporate clients in the country etc etc..and I love RC Tanks and real ones. I have even bought a car in Japan and had it shipped to the UK, handled all the import paperwork etc myself, and collected it from the docks at Southampton.

Yes, it comes down to trust, and that is something that we have here. The order will be placed through legitimate channels, and paid for through legitimate channels, delivered by a legitimate courier and picked up by a legitimate haulier.

How legitimate would you like it. If you were a dealer who had heard of this deal and was trying to scupper it to keep trade prices in the trade, then I could understand your strategy, but it would be a pointless pursuit, this is all legitimate and I wouldn't be touching it with a barge pole if it wasn't.  :o

6 posts and your location is Earth, you joined on 28 July, just when this order was being discussed seriously...if you are legitimate then you should read all of the posts and ask questions to assure yourself before placing an order. Simply making an unfounded  'scare' statement without credibility will achieve nothing. That's the Governments job.  :P

O.k lets leave it at that.
I must stress though that the source of this shipment is as far as i know not the distributor i got my K.T from. That really was a one off just asking on the off chance. And i just got lucky, did let him off 2 hours charges though.
However its a reputable dealer doing a trade deal at a trade price.

Hey, any chance of getting a 1/16 Tamiya RC Kubelwagon in this deal?  I been trying to get one on eBay for a decent price for over a year   :-\
