This has to be one of the most "interesting" conversations/explanations I have ever read! :haha:

Yeah, very short for me :{ lol.

Wasn't much else to say if the young man isn't doing anything till Friday.

One thing Mr AshMan. Before thinking of taking your Sherman apart, it would be handy if you measure how far the drive shaft sticks out like I showed in my last picture
If i remember, I'll get a ruler or a tape measure later today.

Would be a good idea

A tape measure in with your tank tools would be a huge benefit

Wardog wrote:amusing not I,i have change my motors and gear box so I will measure the difference between the original.if any difference in the drive shaft.
The fixing points are the same from the gearbox to the body.so no change was made.
And i wondered if the contact within the sprocket was slightly different.that than the plastic ones.
Well, his right hand set up is fine. I've measured how far my plastic and metal tracked Sherman's (that don't have running problems) drive shafts stick out, all measure close to 16mm.
Also, I don't think the problematic Sherman has had it's gearboxes changed.

I believe you mean the left side set up, unless you weren't talking about my Sherman

Was talking about yours young man.
Usually we say right and left from the back, like we are in the tank facing the front.

Can't tell from the camera angle. But are the gaps between the gearboxes and chassis the same on either side?

The one on the right seems larger than the other
