Oh yes. I run an old Lipo down to single figures % all time and it still makes huge torque. You be ok with 7v for sureAlwynTurner wrote:Thanks Will, do they run ok at lower voltage e.g. 7v as provided by esc?

Plus, doubles your end torque and halves your battery life .. !AlwynTurner wrote:I suddenly realised the answer to the drive problem isn't a transfer box, its two motors as in Wills build. It completely avoids the tight space problem, plus the motors are very compact. Its also a much cheaper solution. Eureka!

Re: Saladin scratch build
On the twin 20mm 600rpm motors i was getting 40mins using up 60% of the battery power using a 2s lipo 1000mah.Lert wrote:Plus, doubles your end torque and halves your battery life .. !AlwynTurner wrote:I suddenly realised the answer to the drive problem isn't a transfer box, its two motors as in Wills build. As for torque, i am going to do a video to show how much pulling/pushing power it has.
I have also provided a motor setup to Tomley's RC garage to put to the test. He will be running it on 3s, which is slightly over voltage for the motors, but extreme testing is the way to go haha.
I think i am going to run the twin 20mm in my B36 Ural Communication truck aswell, unless of course i get the larger twin motor setup developed quickly

Re: Saladin scratch build
More progress with the detailing, the tool boxes, rear hatches, and turret hatches are now done.
Lots more detailing to do

Re: Saladin scratch build
The build is progressing nicely
Just the driver hatch, head and side lights, and exhaust to do. And of course get it running and rc controlled
