By looking at the pictures again, you could add fake shadows with a dark brown wah, giving the illusion of separate clamps on the tools.

Thanks Soeren Tools are easier now i have good fine brushes that keep their shape, Jimster a little bend of resister wire works wonders giving the illusion of clamps.

When you hit a brick wall on a build what next. Go and fix something that annoys you, this time its the HL armoured mg ball cover. As on the Taigen Panther its the wrong shape ,far too rounded and the cutout is at wrong angle and smaller. Tamiya to the rescue an easy fix , only one colour to patch.

Much better now, should have taken a mould of the Tamiya mg ball unit. . Just need to match the paint and tone down.

Nice job on that MG ball mate.
It’s always a worry going back over a finished area to correct something.
MG 34 next ?
