Thanks again all.
I recieved the tank in Febuary 2007,second hand, and stripped it down within the first week.
I never planned on doing any extra detailing when I first stripped it,just a repaint was all I was initially going to do to it.
I kind of got carried away with it after I bought the periscope guards and cut out the front hatches, and once I worked out how to do the welds it gave me confidence to try more as I felt I could convincingly add items to the tank with the welds added.
Had quite a long period where I got really distracted (and still am to some extent) by rc cars and did nothing to it for a very long time.
I also work full time and have 4 children,so the actual time put into this is probably not as great as it may seem.
Most time has been spent in research, which I find most enjoyable.
Thanks again.
Steve.

Tamiya kits are really easy to build out of the box, just follow the instructions. My Tiger was the first model i've built in over a decade, and it was running in less than a week, that was only putting in a couple of hours a day.
Cheers,
Rik
