Hi Rob looks good runs well ,always say mods keep it simple and that way less to go wrong, suspension fix looks spot on. if you want some detailed photos of limber look on armourtek site they do one http://www.armortek.co.uk/Forum3b/viewt ... =50&t=6461 this post shows internal shots how ammo is stored .

regards pete

Here's a few pics of the chassis. Good job I took them...just spotted that I forgot the screw that holds the servo arm on! 8O

As I mentioned somewhere earlier I had doubts about whether the wheels would hold up under the forces on them, and sure enough they don't. I therefore redesigned them with a thicker area where the screw goes through. I should really have a slightly different design front and rear, but I am fitting these on all four corners. I also seem to have a rather loose stub axle on one side of the front, but as to how I cure that is anyone's guess. I have another truck on the way (£11.99????) so I may be able to swap the axle assembly over if that one is any better.

I am still playing around with the hex hole to get the tightest fit, its only a few microns too big but its enough to allow the driven wheels to slip on the shaft when climbing over rough stuff. Different printers may take up the slack or make it worse. I have edited the file above to show where this needs to change.

Edit: Openscad file above has been edited. The new dimensions for the hex are a perfect slide/friction fit onto the stub axles.

I am calling this complete now, it runs very nicely, though the front axle is a bit sloppy, not a lot I can do about that. Painted, weathered, windows are in and I have wheels that fit properly.

Now need to work on the limber, the gun is already done, but in it's current form it's a static model, I need to re-do it so that I have functioning wheels and tyres.
