 Nice steel wheels. And he will also add the big gun?

I am undecided about the big gun currently. Costs are playing a big part - I still have schumo parts to buy to finish off the detail.

It’s more about the looks for me! So shallow :D

Mk is due to send me a care package in the next week or so!
Now that I have the static version, I'd also wondered whether it would be economical and practical to fit a light to the rear. (This build will follow completion of the Pz IV, and finishing touches to the Cromwell..so..it's a way off yet. :D )
Axel sells the LED for the M26 Pershing-

But... that's quite a price. :O The Pershing MFU (if you had a spare one like Tom) has the right connector for a light fitting, but the wrong engine sound..unless our Norwegian magician,Stian, can figure out how to flash one in :D
Then again, there's that spare 5v terminal on the MFU. With a suitable resistor couldn't that be used for a convoy light? Mind you, switching it on and off would involve extra electronic wizardry.
Incidentally, I found this useful MFU schematic on RCU recently for the MF-01:
Tamiya wiring connectors on DMD MFU unit

Personally, I've pretty well decided to clank down the Elmod track for this one..
Great model, Adam, and this was the final impetus I needed to shell out for the static (starter) kit

It’s a shame lights cannot be simply added to the mf unit like the Sherman/Pershing and kv by means of plugging in and switching on.

I might still go down the elmod route but part of me still wants it to be as Mr Tamiya made it, albeit with some pretty extras.

I should have some interior bits to show you soon.

Quite agree, and one of my beefs with Tamiya is the representation of a light with an inert piece of styrene. :| In this respect, HL/Taigen/Mato have absolutely the right idea. It's becoming a well worn argument now I suppose, that Tamiya haven't tried to keep pace with the competition with electronic add ons. Just ask Rad...... :/ :shh: That said, I do enjoy the simplicity and dependability of their electronic hearts; but you could probably get and NHS pacemaker for less than a replacement
DMD pairing.
Thanks, Adam, Yes i shall look forward to the interior details..

More progress. Chassis and upgrade wheels have arrived. Custom shafts and spacers by MK with full bearings.

Along with some nice shiny bits and chains etc it’s added a good bit of detail to the model.

Also added a Daryl Turner trunion set to improve elevation and traverse.

That's lookin' might good there, Adam. Some very innovative ideas and a lot of thought going into it. Anxiously awaiting each new chapter. Keep up the nice work.

I really like that Mk Modellbau towing bracket! I could do with one for my Tamiya Panther, and one for the Jagdpanther project later on. A few more pics of the internal setup will be great reference material for later, as well. :)

Adam I may have missed it but what style exhaust system are you setting up on this beast? The one that is currently mounted?
