Somebody should 3D print some servo mounts for barrel elevation and recoil for tamiya tanks. I still cant believe nobody has done it yet...

Clark does a 3D printed servo recoil and elevation kit for the tamiya KT , I have a kit coming for my current KT build.

I have just seen it in their website. Looks great, but I bet it would be very expensive. May I ask how much it was?

My idea was one servo mount for recoil and another for elevation that replace the stock units. Considering the tamiya tanks use the same units, Im surprised nobody already did it and put it in shapeways or so.

Completed all the turret track hangers, just need weld around them now.
Revisited the tensioner problem and found a few new spares in the treasure trove.
Hey, the Tamiya system is not perfect, but it must work ? :eh:
I've got the replacement bits on hand and they wont cost me close to $150 for a Henntec
I can always go back & change it as it fails ..........
They're in.
New fasteners using PVA as retaining compound rather than stuff'n loctite :/
I can remount the speaker box & set about getting the roadwheels off for final cleaning & paint.
The upper hull and turret will get zimmerit once all the cable clamps etc are sorted.

Just about to replace the idler system on my mates king tiger, Ken suggested using a Schumo part for around €16. Axels sell it.
