So decided to fit the metal Henglong gearbox which was meant for my Mid Tiger, but wanted to get my wife's Early Tiger up and running again.
Quick and easy, just had to snap off an relocate the mounting lugs for the gearbox and make it work.
Now i am just waiting to cut some reinforcements to stiffen the shell.
Also making up my own bearing supports to help reinforce the driveline.
For now the rear idlers are ok, but when they do go i will fix those aswell.
Motors are also of a more low profile design, so will give more space to fit more in this tank when we decide to do so
Ripping out the crap plastic and replacing with metal gearbox.

So i have taken the metal gearbox meant for my Mid Tiger and fitted it in my wifes early Tiger to get it running again so she is happy.
But i had to relocate alot of the fixing points so i had something to screw down into for the Front RH box.
It does move a little however with flex in the chassis so it needs stiffening up a bit.
I have also made my own DIY axle support bearings, so pictures to follow. I also bought parts to make up several parts.
I have got alot of oiless bushings on their way and lets see how it goes.
Think the hardest bit is whether or not it is going to be possible to fit the transmission covers back on!

Haha, i won't just been busy with the 3D printer recently haha.
You are correct though, i should focus some attention on these Tigers & My KT. The tanks must be feeling neglected for sure.
Now i have the printer though i can start making the internals to hold the hatches and fans underneath so it looks cool when the hatches are lifted!

So as some of you may have seen, I have finished reverse engineering Rakeys Tiger engine.
So I will be printing one off to fit the desired space at somepoint soon.
Now I need to start thinking about electronics and which ones I fitting in my tiger. Maybe Clark board. I don't want to go mad with it, but I do want sound and smoke.
Will look great when you can open the hatches to see the maybach

So, have you worked out how to print just the top half of the engine?
That way it can take up less room needed for smoker etc
Also one with three filters?

Nice one Mick, that is good to see. I am going to have to print off a couple more Maybach engines. I forgot about this and will get back on it.
I also have bought yet another Tiger 1.......
So we are planning a Early, Mid & Late production build.
I was toying with idea of metal tracks bla bla on all of them, but actually i want to thrash them around a bit. So the Mid Tiger will get metal tracks and hopefully i can stick with nylon on the others. We will see what the wallet can handle eh.
I am working on a engine compartment 3D printed section to sit into the HL Tiger Chassis that the engine can sit in

I promise i will try and upload some new build pictures soon

Hi Will, I've since realised/found out that the HL 210 P30 is the version they used in the first Panthers.
It's the HL 210 P45 that was used in the first tigers.
But, what's the difference? Is it just the carb?
