I agree with YHR that the automatic editing of RCunvierse to "the other nasty forum" has got to go, because it in My oppinion lowers the tone and makes this forum look as bad as the RCunevirse forum.
I don't go on there because they banned me and my IP address, so all I get is a blank page, I don't care what they are up to and would not go back and rejoin them if they paid me, it is their loss and this forums gain when they got on their high horses and banned some of the members of this forum for talking about starting another forum, they run that forum like a bunch of fascists by reading private messages and emails sent via their forum and I for one do not want to see RCtankwarfare going down the same route.

Hi I never noticed the auto edit thing till this morning ,I to am not happy that my post was editted and changed ,it will change Im with Brel on this it lowers the tone of this forum and this is not good ,the auto edit should only be used for offensive words f**K and such like but it should not change the context of a post .If someone worte a post full of offencive words it would probibly be removed but an odd mild one will not .writing R.C.U. is not an offencive word and will not be affected by the auto edit .

Hi Guys I only just found out and not happy it has been happening ,the auto edit should only be set to edit foul words to change it to  f**k like this .I think that anything else would consitute censorship .Freedom of speach is one of the basic rights that we have and to have it infringed is totaly wrong .I feel this very strongly and if happens again I will leave this forum .

Gobal Mods have a function to automatically change certain words. I Mod a Warhammer 40k and use this function to change swear words to something funny.

I'm suprised that a forum thats complaining about Mods abusing their powers on RCUniverse, do this.

let me assure you all we at rctankwarfare most definatly wont be going down this route and the function of editing posts for any other reason was just a bit of fun thats gone wrong so no ill intent there

Please please dont anyone do anything hasty  :-\ Give admin a chance to sort it out. You will notice once the auto edit has been sorted that all posts previously made should revert to what you originally wrote so hopefully once the problem has been addressed that there should be no long term damage to peoples posts. What you all need to remember is that at the end of the day Matt has done a great job with this forum, setting it all up and getting it going etc but he is still only 15 and (with no disrespect to you Matt) at that age how many of us stopped to think about possible longterm consequences of something we found funny?

and the people writing in the thread would now have no pm facility to ask a moderator and if it carried on would have been banned

YHR, one thing i dont get is how you mind about RCU being automatially edited, but as many people have stated there are children on the forum, and yet you careless go on swaering in every post ? i know after i say this you many attempt to edit it out, but by me saying this hopefully you wont.

anyway, ill leave this topic here for say 2-3 days so that people can clear up with each other, then i will archive it, as we dont want to have an rcu type topic on this forum's main board!

one other thing that oneld happen on rcu, im sorry for the inconvenience.
