Perhaps we should create a new section in the Vendors area to let members know what they are letting themselves in for when they buy certain brands......

That's a great idea. Maybe a feedback area based on certain products.

I have Jack's M36B1 and have bought a stock upper hull and turret to do my own detailing on. I am considering selling his excellent upper and turret with wiring and servos as mounted by him since I already have an M10 kit to build as well. That along with the M36B1 will be enough American Tank Destroyers for me. Steelbird, keep working on your PzIII. Once you have rectified the 'built by hand' results from MATO, I think you will have an excellent tank.

Painless

I'm not sure what error we would encounter if me or someone buy another Mato tank. After making it moving well, I started to think about other things -- the motors and the skin color. I've been seeing photos and video here and other places of tanks with weathering. Sleek paint doesn't look real. However, Neither I have experience regarding weathering nor I have the tools and materials for the job. Can you guide me through this process? Regarding motors, I asked the dealer and got answer that my motors are normal 360. He offered a pair of Heng Long's red-skinned 390 as alternative. I saw someone testing that motors on YouTube; not 3 times faster than stock's as advertised but a lot faster. My question, does that worth the money?

I don't think I would want any of my tanks to go three times faster. Maybe a little bit slower.... That's just my preference. Usually I see others adding reduction gears to achieve a more realistic effect.

My Pantiger has 4:1 gearbox to increase torque and reduce speed. However, I just feel the speed is too slow, especially when you drive it in a open area. to change the motors, I want more torque too.

Just changing to those motors alone will be a mistake , they travel WAY to fast in a standard gearbox.
Put 'em in my ZTZ and it was a Ferrari tank. Also the standard yellow battery didn't pack enough juice to get it going properly , needed a 5000MaH at the least.
Straight back out.

OK, I'll stay with stock motors for the PzIII then. I saw some videos on YouTube that some guy install Tamiya's 540 in his ZTZ then he ran it in his flooded garden. it ran like a dream. modern tanks should move faster. I also saw a jumping Bulldog but I don't know what motors he used. Now I have a H/L Leopard 2A6, maybe I'll consider put the pair of 390 into it.
By the way, I think the ZTZ is not correctly scaled; the turret seems too small and fuselage seems too long, and the roadwheels seem not correctly spaced. ZTZ 99A2 is one of my favorite tank that I want to own but Heng Long never revise or update its design.

Looks like an L to me?
Same model as the one H/L make.
Applique armour on the mantlet and front of the upper hull , no vision slits on the turret , long barrel 50mm gun .
