RC Tank Warfare community hobby forum

Post came yesterday with a very nice Aber aerial for the tank. This type will let me use my miniature spring set to make it fully functional. Spent the afternoon primering and spraying what seemed like a 100 road wheel pieces along with the sprockets and idlers. They can cure tonight and I'll assemble all of this tomorrow. ;o) Pics:

I laughed out loud when I read your comment on convoy light colours,
I have long since lost count of the different threads that all revolve around this subject and not just on this Forum, The general consensus would appear to favour "Blue" but I don't think I have seen definitive proof.
All I have is my experience of NATO transport lighting policy which simply required a "Shielded White Light"
Of course since the 70s with the advent of infra red lighting on military vehicles and anti infra red paint the convoy light is a different matter altogether.
Watching your build carefully, ready as always to steal your ideas.

Hotte, this is very true in any worthwhile activity, sir. Jarndice, I've spoken with Dominique who assures me the light that was sent is blue and for Tigers. My eyes were probably tired when I examined it the other evening. Thank you for following along, my friend. I suppose I can still count as new hereabouts. I have only been posting the results of my builds here for some four years. I still learn some new trick or tip almost everyday from the real grognards that inhabit this Forum. ;o)

Nice progress painless.

Ad Lav, thank you, sir. This afternoon saw the cleanup of the spray job on the lower hull and the attachment with nuts and bolts of the working track section on the glacis of the tank. All of the road wheels are prepped now with their rubber tires on. A small note to the next builder of one of these. Tamiya will give you nine road wheels of each type but only eight of the rubber tires for those eight required. ;o) Pics:

Always read the destructions. Especially if you have the responsibility of not ruining someone else' Kit. ;o) Tamiya is lending me a helping paw to also help illustrate what I am doing each step without a lot of my rambling verbage. *chuckles* One of my old bedfellows still is a noted Cartographer so boy yes!, you'd better believe that I know how to read maps. ;o)

Post brought a set of Taigen Tiger 1 headlights last Saturday. I need the LEDs and wiring out of them. Also, weekend is over so on to Step 13. Bearings were located and Tamiya's brass bushings set aside. It's not even work doing this kind of repetition when everything is so well engineered. Even Tamiyas little pot metal multi-wrench makes a perfect bearing press so things sit evenly. The idlers did not have to be assembled as Mike had provided excellent metal early types with bearings already. Pics:
