Even if it is, I'm just going to paint these guys in Wehrmacht Feld Grau with some red piping. No mustaches on any of em' ;o) Congrats on the great haul, my Friend! ( How did the waxing go? I wanted to hear from you before I got out the Meguiars ) Mr. Jarndice, as my pal noted, Evil Bay for them all, stateside, even the French made old VW. You've already seen that you can get the same stuff ( that 1938 Citroen, I need one of those ;o) All that remains is to empty your wallet, melt down the plastic, you know the drill ;o) *bows*

Painless, forgot when I posted that this was mothers day weekend so the cars got put on hold for the moment to spend time with the wife and kids at the park. We all took a dog and went for a nice 4 mile walk, all the dogs are asleep now.

I plan to use Griot's show car wax but I'm sure Meguires will work just fine. Just be sure to use a soft micro fiber towel with no fabric softener on it and they should come out beautifully.

Painless, our friend Jack is much too humble to say so, but he's quite an accomplished car modeler. I'm talkin award winning, magazine published and everything. When it comes to all things scale auto, Jack's my Guru. That's why I was also waiting to see what kind of wax he likes. Griot's it is.

I just ordered a G4 from ebay, and Shaun, welcome to the world of die cast collectibles. I only recently discovered for myself what a vast world it is, with sooo much for a newbie like me to learn. However, with some patience and effort to educate myself i'm slowly getting better and have made some nice buys lately. Another thing I've been getting an education on is dollhouses. A lot of that stuff is perfect for a tank park that needs lots of detail, and in the dollhouse world our tanks are known as "three-quarter scale" because 3/4 of an inch equals one foot. (apologies to those that already know all this stuff, the last thing I want to do is patronize anyone).

Pretty soon I'm going to educate myself on building scale bridges. I already know that as much as I respect these guys and admire their talents, almost everyone makes their bridges waaay too narrow.

Painless I found a few Citroen Traction Avant's for sale in the USA and brilliantly low prices as well, unfortunately a £17/$24.50 1/18 model would I am afraid carry between £30/$43 to £50/$72 postal charges to the UK. So I think the French vendor will get my "Melted down plastic"

Since you've perused Ebay.co.uk, Shaun, you may have all noticed the Mercedes 770K lurking there too. It's probably the same as Jack's but will cost c. £64 + ca. £12 postage from Germany, should the bug for die cast bite you. I gave my last diecast model- a Mini Cooper S to my grandson( based on the sixties all British Mini Cooper S I used to drive, and loved, not the trendy BMW version...the one on steroids.. with a big arse).
