Sorry to hear about your issues Spartan Tracks. I was reading your thread and couldn't help thinking of the pain your going through. These are some heavy duty stuff your taking and they attacked it at all angles from what I can see here. What exactly they found in your MRI spine if I may ask?
By the way I also work in the NHS.

I have had 5 trims (disc bulge) l1 to l2 fusion l1 to l3 fusion Done later my,local hospital says it's nothing to worry about ( typical NHS ) presant issues, constant spinal, pain, spinal seizures that drop you to the flood with no warning,no feeling in right leg from half way down the thigh, also due to all this I have foot drop so can not walk every time I take a step I fall flat on my face Regards. Andy

I see.The issues are in the origin or the root of the nerves. L1 to L3 covers up to the level of your knees. I gather you have previous spinal procedures, likely this is a contributory factor to your symptoms. Worrying thing is the symptoms, did they refer you to spinal surgeons? or better yet neuro surgeons? Are they planning to "release" some pressure on the nerves? Spinal surgery is very complicated and I always refer to specialist spine surgeon or specialist neurosurgeon. I don't think any symptomatic medical treatment will ever get rid of pain fully unless they sort out the main problem.

Do you have any other medical conditions besides your spinal issues?

No other medical issues DNAR...... MRI was done last week slight raised area on the disc l4 they said nothing to worry about, and sent me home my wife and myself both politely asked is that it? And the answer was yes you can go home this afternoon, spent most of today in heavy pain, I do have some better days but most seem the same ,spend it just trying to get in a position that causes the least pain.

They should refer you to a spinal surgeon or a neuro surgeon that deals with spine issues due to the persistent of pain regardless of a satisfactory MRI scan. Who saw you while admitted is it an orthopeadic spine surgeon?
You've mention foot drop, is this on both legs? How is your leg muscle power from hips down to thigh and foot? Can you feel vibrations and temperature? And have they tested for where the level of loss of your sensation? Have they check your PSA levels and creatinine?

The OSS at my local hospital only came to see me to tell me MRI result, was with me for about 60'secs then left was discharged the same day we were both disgusted at the lack of care and professionalism FOOT DROP RIGHT LEG ONLY, LEG POWER ZERO (if I try and put weight on it I'll end up on my face, NO I CANT FEEL TEMPERATURE...SENSATION STARTS TO GO HALF WAY DOWN THE THIGH,DEAD AT THE KNEE down "....Andy

Sorry to hear about that Andy. Well I can only tell from my personal experience (no offence to any surgical doctor hear in the forum), there are very few surgeons that would sit besides their patient and tell them the "full" picture. Bedside this, they should fully examine you and "correlate" clinical findings. Its obvious that you have a nerve problem causing symptoms ranging from pain to nerve palsy. Our spine carry sensory information to the brain (pain, vibration, temperature, joint position, proprioception), the brain interprets and send appropriate response back to the muscles via the spine. If this pathway is affected then you will manifest symptoms depending where the level of injury is (from skin receptor, nerves, spinal cord and brain).
With your symptoms, level would be at L1 (zero leg power at the right) at least going down to L4 or L5. The pain transmission is at the antero-lateral (spinothalamic tract) of our spine and the temp. Vibration, fine touch, proprioception etc. is at the dorsal column of our spine at about the same level as mentioned where your motor function of the muscle is.
Are you able to pass water Ok and is your bowels working ok?
It would be good if they have looked at your symptoms and correlate it. They should also consider a nerve conduction study to test your nerve signals to that affected legs.
Sorry to hear you have to suffer like this. Hope I have helped you out even for simple explanations. - Raphael
