just having fun and also it said it would run for only 20 mins but it ran for nearly 40 mins

You NEED a better battery.... and charger. I run a 5600mah lipo battery in mine and it'll run for at least 3 hours on some SERIOUS off road fun. The longest its run was just over 4 hours straight around my neighborhood without the HUGE hills to climb the battery lasts longer.

You can certainly go that route but if you're only using the little wall charger the tank came with you may want to upgrade to a better charger. You can pick up a decent charger for like $30 or so, that way it won't take a day to charge the battery the tank came with.

Also stay away from the cheap ebay batteries as they're hit and miss as to weather you get garbage or not. The higher the mah number the longer the run time.

Get a decent charger (forgebear sold me mine) as it'll charge in around 30mins AND get a bigger battery.
