Finished the lower hull, wheels, and suspension painting and lacquering, and reassembled it all (PHEW was I glad to get everything back together, what a mission!).

Some progress on the top hull, cockpit progressing and figures done, the worst part was the helmets! Just got the ammunition to do for the cargo area and general finishing off: rifle rack, fire extinguisher, bolt heads, external cargo, spare wheel etc.

Then the painting.

Fantastic work! When are you going to start mass producing those tracks? :D

Hi Eric, given the damage to my fingers from doing the ones I did and the time it took to make them, it will be quite a while before I attempt building tracks again! Seriously they aren't hard to do, just fiddly once you get the hang of it so anyone wanting a UC should be able to build them, just purchase the appropriate stuff from Woz:

and pm me if you need help/advice. Meanwhile I have some other projects to progress and a few to finish. Thanks all for the kind words.  Alwyn

Well it's pretty much finished. I'm just having problems with getting it to go in a straight line and I suspect it's something to do with the 2.4ghz tx/rx as the motors/gears are running fine. I've propped it up and tried with the tracks running free, and the lhs track doesn't turn as well as the rh track. There is unfortunately no trim on the tx so I can't trim it out. I suspect I'm going to have to invest in a new tx/rx, but that will have to wait until after the holidays.

I'm going to take it to the MAD meeting tomorrow and see if anyone has any suggestions.
