Pretty observant of you Kaiser...Yes the black cover is just that...a Hard case that holds the Lithium Cells...you can actually hear the cells rattle a little when it's shaken...but hey....it's a lipo...what other brand is handing those out ;)
Though there is a chance this is a release designated for Asia first....and models imported will have the normal NiCDs

Good Morning,
I've been following along on this and am very pleased that Alpha managed to score such an advanced model of HL Abrams. It is evidence that HL hasn't given up the high end of the tank market just yet. I'm not so pleased that LIPOs are stock now tho'. I still prefer NmH's in mine. Following along on this build. ( since I still need to replace my HE Abrams )
regards,
Painless

So I asked him lipo ??? what are you talking about willis :D
OMG it is lipo took a few minutes to catch on but very pleased he was
That would be a good move on HL's part...it's a good thing too...think the market needs a good boot in the pants...thing is ...the charger...that thing is dangerous 8O

Hope you aren't disappointed Painless...going to keep the mods relatively simple...started some of the work ..but haven't documented anything yet...took some tips left by GreenG and removed that exhaust unit on the top of the turret and did a little something to the exhaust outlet different from GreenG)...not working how I'd like ...so will have to tweak it a little ...At the same time figuring out the paint scheme for it...as it will in all probability be a Saunders school tank.. ;)

PS...Also found something interesting in the upper Hull...will reveal that later ...if it works out lol

I really don't know...they sell adapters for US products to be used overseas...but not the opposite way around...basically meaning...I can't plug the thing is to try Image

Nice tank!

The battery appears to be Lithium Ion, not Lithium Polymer batteries....different kettle of fish.
