Nice one Brian, it sound awesome, post some pics when you can, have now fitted new tracks to mine, I went for the all metal version, rctankde, no rubber pads, I hope you can get that to work on yours I gave up in the end, I spent weeks completely taking apart the tracks, there was piles of bits everywhere, then I reglued the pads on with gorilla glue which is 100% waterproof, they still came off, that was enough, I have also replaced the 2 plastic spare track links on the front with metal ones, looks so much better.

Can you also post some picks of the missing gunner sight doors from your Tamiya, I still have to make them, also have you noticed the missing piece on the rear of the tank, on the panel in front of winch cable, that will need to be scratch built, copy of Tamiyas, it will be on that one for sure. I have also added cable to drum and fitted missing periscope lenses to commanders cuppola and drivers 2.

It never stops does it!!

Had a question about the Tk22 board, my Leo has stock airsoft and recoil, do I have to cut it all up and add servos or can I keep it stock, all the build instructions show cutting out the airsoft to add recoil but both are stock so I'm hoping I don't have to cut it up.

Also bogeyman what size magnets did you use for the quick release top and I'm sure there is a thread on it but how did you "wash" your paint and did you originally do your own paint or is it the factory paint job.

It's just a factory paint job, with a Mig Nato wash over the top, as for the magnets I can't honestly remember the strength, maybe about 35, I have now got rid of the airsoft gun and elevation unit, replaced with servos, and installed a Vampire IR Battle system.

Just got my Leo and I am really impressed with the detail and the paint job is way better than I was expecting, it almost already looks washed cause from others I have seen on YouTube a lot of them look real toyish in their looks but this one doesn't, well I have some work to do on the upgrades and little touch up on paint but overall I'm extremely impressed and excited to get rolling .

Well I have a motor question, I bought the 4.1 gears and motor from rctank.de and the motors say 18,000 rpm but still seem a little slow on the top speed which is probably due to the gearing but the gears run good so I don't want to get rid of them, I see a lot of people talking about brushless and dual esc 's and 500 series motors but I'm not looking for high price setups like those but would like to know the best replacement motor that doesn't require a lot of modifications to install it, I'm running a TK22L2 board on a HL Leopard, I'm sure there are other threads that probably covered this but all the ones I find like I said talk about high price setups and very large motors and I just want a good stock size or near stock size motor to use.

Hey dude I used jp 480 in my leopard but 3:1 gearboxes, get a really good top speed and still able to crawl at a slow speed with the torque from the better motors, also am running an IBU2, but I tried it with an rx18 before and it was actually faster, hope that helps

I would get the motors but I'm not sure there's room on my low profile gearboxes the motors are pretty close together.
