Just another suggestion Richy...Painless gave you a suggestion of coloring that reflector in .... if you want to go the extra mile.... get a piece of that antenna...one that is approximately the same size ...sharpen the edge..use it as a punch... and cut a piece of reflector tape...then just stick it in place.. and...it will work

HI Alpha that would be one small piece of reflector tape. good idea again but I think it might be to small to do it. its about 1mm. surely it would be easier to buy a 1/6th and model that

True Richy.... another option would have been to drill that guy out.... get another small piece of the antenna tube.. sharpen on side ...press it through the tape and use the entire assembly as a replacement.... didn't mention it before...because the thought of a German soldier or crew member taking a hammer or pistol grip to it ...saying something like ...." Why the reflector... it's in a place that will get dirty... and if it can be seen...means it can be seen by the enemy

!!!!!!"
I think if I were in that situation ...I would probably break the reflector

..........

so you have a realistic presentation of that

I'd really like to see those pics, then, because that wasn't the design.
There were three extension segments for the mast, each 1288mm long, stored inside the tank, which could be screwed together to make a tall mast and that could be fixed to the hull side. But, not the star antenna itself. Its base was on the hull roof.

The tank could fit only two radios, therefore only two antennae would be used.

On that page, in the first diagram, the mast antenna is on the hull right side and it's connected to the star antenna, so they count as one.
The third antenna position is on the left side of the tank and it's unused. Command Tigers always had a normal antenna base on the left side, as well as the turret roof.

Hi Richy,
I knew I had seen this somewhere, but could not think where. Found it again this morning whilst looking for something else.

I know you might not be interested as the seller is in Germany, but he is reliable and I can recommend him. If there were other bits you wanted from him I guess the postage situation would be better. You may be able to find them somewhere else.
Anyway hope this helps you out
Paul
