Hi Guy's had a good think over the last few day's and I will go with a 3 tone ambush cammo scheme on the " paper panzer " had a good read of Tony Greens book and will be laying down paint Monday/Tuesday next week. I have decided to go with a scheme along mcevoyi's Pantiger build ( Sorry mate it's so nice I just have to have a go  ). I hope to post pictures Tuesday night if everything goes right. Then its just light weathering and drybrushing. All the best for now

It LIVES it LIVES ( manic laughter dies out ) Sorry guy's just joking. Truth is I actualy got the asiatam recoil and elevation system to work tonight. Only managed to break the poxy switch for the barrel light didnt I  >:(. Apart from that not to bad, also got the rest temporarily wired up. Managed to get a quick test run up the living room before the battery died. So I hope everything works ( wired the motors backward as normal ) and found that I could not get reverse on one track ( hoping it's a tight gearbox and weak battery not a fried RX 18 fet ). The 17mm fan runs a treat off the smoker wiring if a little noisy with a high pitch whine. Looks like I will have to get a resistor to reduce the voltage to the fan as it is rated at 5v not 7.2v. Looks to be a nice smooth runner from the short test run I managed. I will put the battery on charge tomorrow for a few hours and give it a good go tomorrow. All the best for now

It all worked Steve. After charging the battery and removing and striping the gearbox it run's like a dream even down to the squeaking from the metal tracks. The gear box was tight in reverse mode, so the gearbox was removed striped checked and reasembled with tender loving care ( LOT'S of effing and blinding works a treat as well as removing a lump of swarf that only caught in reverse ? ). Had a MAJOR snafu  yesterday on the spraying. I made a total mess of the cammo scheme. So it was respray in base yellow today and lay down a new scheme. It's come out OK but not as good as I hoped. I put it down to using a dual action airbrush ( old Humbrol double action airbrush ) for the first time in years as well as trying acrylic as a spray medium on a three tone scheme ( my exceuse and I am sticking to it  ::) ). Pictures tomorrow when everything is dry. Please be gentle as it's only the first stage washing, weathering and drybrushing are the next steps. I will be posting pictures as I finish each stage. Well paint is on so without further fanfair PICTURES  Comments and observations as always welcome. Please bear in mind this is just the first stage weathering and drybrushing to follow. Posted pictures as I am chuffed just to get the cammo scheme down. All the best for now

Excellent pant job on the Panzer Alan very well done you can be proud of that looks the part already and you have still to weather it nice one

Cheers Steve and Matt. Hopefully you will get to see it some time soon Matt I will try and sort out somthing close to Newport so we can have a meet and get togeather with some of the boys maybe have another battle.
