I am sorry to hear this news. I thought I had a fix in the works for you. Onwards and Upwards. I'll be waiting to see your complete barrel and mantlet setup. ;o)

No need to be sorry Painless.. I thought you way was correct... when I saw the ALCO then the dual hatches on the Tamiya sprue Mike gave me for the filter canisters.. I was really hyped... then I looked at the FISHER

....But I think it will work out... if you notice the center section of the exhaust looks like the PERSHING'S exhaust... I think I still have a couple of those.. so all I have to fabricate are the two buffers on the side....the plus to that is I can use it as the antenna
Thanks for the suggestion though

...I may not be using it... but I'm sure it would help others who will do a SHERMAN build

By the way Painless... Your recommendation.. along with my suffering through the research... adds to the legacy set by fynsdad and Phil...not to mention you outstanding SHERMAN build thread ...in other words we are giving others the ability to skip a lot of the things we had to do... when they decide to do a build... especially those who acquire the Nick Aguilar Hull... because that is the exact same as mine... so all they have to do is look up the FISHER variant and they are there then look at your build to see all the great details that can be had..
Reason I don't mind the suffering of research... because someday it will benefit someone else... kind of a Pass it forward kind of thing
and yes indeed... upward and onward my friend

Everyone saw it ... know the background of it's creation... I'm just moving one picture of the mantlet...since by overwhelming vote it will go on my tank...
also adding in that last night I was able to make the rotater backing plate for it...Hopefully I will have a little more time to add some of the detail it still needs ..and have some photos tomorrow

Alpha,
Groovy work, my friend! The copper rotator plate looks sharp. You'll have to a rig a .30 cal in there somehow . ;o) The aluminum barrels on these Shermans are really nice. HL is getting into the game big time. One of these days we'll be able to look back with a laugh and say "do you remember when?"

Thank you gentlemen... it was touch and go with that rotator plate... as it made it necessary for the mod on the barrel... not sure if I will be able to put a recoil unit in now ... but I can still do the IR...
Painless... yes ... fortunately the slot on the rotator plate... has perfect line of sight for a 30 cal to be installed... so what I plan to do is similar to what I did with the Kv...and will use the firing red LED and hook it in tandem with the hull machine gun... the firing light wires I plan to hook up to the rear tail lights so it looks like the driver hits the brake as the gun is fired
Hoping I have enough room as that turret is pretty tight space wise
Thanks again everyone

She's a runner
Sorry no photos of this part of the build.... it was just a little too much of a project to stop for photos...so I just worked through it ...finally got everything functional after burning one mother board and maybe an RX ...so yes.... she is now good to go ....

...minor detailing to be done yet... exhausts need to be made ... enhanced antenna etc....but I think those will be a much more pleasurable task now that she can roll
