Hope you all had a good Christmas. I'll no longer be taping a mobile phone to the back of the turret, I now have a 4k ready GoPro to film all our shenanigans!

VR Headset
I was thinking of linking a camera on tank to a VR headset, that way you would actually be in the tank.
It may even provide you with more accuracy when battling, as you would be looking along the barrel.
You can purchase VR headsets on ebay for about £10, so not a costly initiative asuming you have a suitable camera.

Re: Bristol Armoured Division
As well as the German mortar emplacement, I have a few small additions to the battlefield. One more tree, which cost me the princely sum of £1.60 inc postage all the way from China!, a small piece of ruined wall, and I seem to recall at the last meet, someone said something about a war memorial or similar to go in our village, so I've made one - nothing fancy, I would stress.

Re: Bristol Armoured Division
Ooooh...we are going to look dead posh in 2017, well done Richard.
I've been busy all day so didn't see your spam alert, sorry about that.
On a good note, the car. The dealer messed up the heating, eg no heat at all, so I complained and quoted the law at them. Long story short, they attempted the usual wriggling but then offered 3 hours free diagnostic time. I have a top of the range warranty on the car that I obtained by telling the dealer that I bought it from that I would only buy the car if it was included free of charge. The warranty doesn't cover diagnostic time, and only pays £75 an hour labour. Back to the dealer, and they agreed that any labour charge would be restricted to £75 an hour, rather than the astronomical main agent charge that they usually cost.
So, the dealer did the diagnostics and apparently found the problem, and it needs parts. They ring the warranty company and they then say that the car should have been returned to the original dealer for the work (I had specifically asked them if the main agent could do the work and they said yes??).
A couple of phone calls to the warranty company and two dealers, and the original dealer agreed to subcontract the repair to where the car is. I should be able to pick it up tomorrow, though I will have to pay £92, but I can live with that. The total bill was almost £600?? If that doesn't include the 3 hours free labour it would have been close to £1000. Modern cars are a liability.
I am just praying that the heating works again, I had to drive to Chippenham yesterday and sods law decided that it would be the iciest morning of the winter, all the doors, locks and mirrors were frozen solid. Trying to de-ice a car with no heating and then driving 16 miles without it was not a pleasant experience!

Re: Bristol Armoured Division
Lets hope the car is fixed. Reminds me of my old Hillman Imp back in the 60s. With the engine and radiator at the back, if you got a really cold snap, the water in the heater hoses (which were 8 or 9 feet long) would freeze and there was nothing warm to unfreeze them. I can remember a very long journey home from university 160 miles and several hours in a VERY cold car.
No problem with the spammer - jackalope jumped on it quickly. I thought if I sent it to Australia, USA and the UK someone would pick it up.
