I was just looking at this Tamiya Sherman on ebay as it has a battle system. Is it worth purchasing? I think it is way too old as the transmitter appears to dates back to 1998..... I found an instruction manual for the transmitter saying 1998. It is 40MHz?

Thanks

Andy may know which model it is. Other than that, a quick question in General Discussion might provide the answers. There are two versions of the Sherman as far as I know, an old original and a more recent full function one.

There is another one on there with bidding at around £60, without electrics. If you could get that one for anything around £100 it would be worth sticking a TK22 in it.

Even the "newer" f/o Shermans can date back way over 20 years...

I'm flattered in the extreme that you even begin to think I could produce something like that, but my talents stop way short! ;D

I did look at the possibilty of introducing a railway line, till I saw the cost of 1/16 scale track.

I looked at the 1/16 scale train idea a few years back, and when I realised how big the train itself would have to be I gave up on the idea, it would be huge. 8O

As I predicted months ago, I have just been advised that literally within hours of the deadline for exchanging contracts, guess what?....now trying to find out what the reason was. :silent: If I wrote what I am currently thinking I would have to ban myself for inappropriate language! >:<
