Yeah I think he got it up in the air again...found that video years ago...and there was a followup ...there was extensive damage as one engine had malfunctioned causing it to overheat before powering up......give that guy props...it is an expensive hobby....to jump back on the horse so to say...is really commendable...guess it might have been a different story if the jet got totalledgreengiant wrote:Looks like a very expensive full option large scale unit. Did he manage to save any of it before the foam melted?
OH...There are several aircraft fails on youtube...I was watching some last night lol....the jets always seem to catch fire...there was one where you just knew the plane wasn't going to fly...it's tail section was crooked....for sure the guy crashed...there was a follow up to that...where he repaired the plane ...straightened out the tail...and it finally got in the air...then there are the mid air crashes like this onegreengiant wrote:Either that or tried something a little smaller with ducted fan electric enginesDoubt that though if he has the money to go for real jet engines.
I like to search the tube for the big rc plane crashes. Think the sport is neat but just like auto racing I like to see some big wrecks
on the high speed ovals of NASCAR.

I was lucky to have a old RAAF pilot, who was also a spitfire pilot In the Battle of Britain he hand built this spitfire one of a kind , My mate was lucky he gave it to him just before he passed away, I should take some pictures .
I remember being on dual transmitters hard task master but I am glad now learned the right way , okay, Rudder, Rudder he would only say it twice , I have the controls , whatI am not to sure where your head is at the moment but remind me this arvo to get a lift home with someone else . why
if you fly like that then I hate to think what your driving is like

So it is like the rc tanks having extra help before you botch the job
Yeah Dogfights are great...did more with tether or U-controlled planes...it was tricky lol...lucky those were relatively cheap back then...and also could be repaired easily as well....The planes flew pretty much at full throttle all the time....the battle was to trim a ribbon being towed by the plane...have to say ...even with several mishaps...it was still fungreengiant wrote:The planes were specially built to be really responsive. It was like watching a real dogfight by very skilled pilots.
