Ive decided to change the spare wheel mount as the Dragon one is the late style . The early one has more of an angle to the sides although my ones not to the top as it would mean filling of the existing part which is hollow . So in fact would be better to completely re make it . Also the spider legs are longer so i have lengthened them to .I have also made the filler cap taller.

Progress a little slow today . Ive made the rear view mirror and corrected the cross member were the rifle rack is mounted . And re fitted one of the Jerry can holders (made by the previous owner) . Im moving onto the spot light next .

Also thinking of scratch building a new windscreen but we will see.

Rear view mirror , not very good picts sorry.

Corrected cross member as it should sit level with the Kubel side not above as Dragon have it . I have also removed the stock rifle clamps and when the replacements cross the pond I will fit the working ones.

I have slowed down on this build but more picts to come. Ive been working on the search light and rear detail ,picts to follow soon.

Here is an attempt at the Africa Corps palm tree marking . I was sent a decal sheet but although excellent they seamed to small . So I have Googled the image then printed out to the required size . I then cut out the template . This I taped to the Kubel and applied paint with a spongy pad. once dry I tided it up by brush then weathered it . Not perfect but I can live with it.

That stencil reminds me of the stencil they used in the movie Tobruck starring Rock Hudson when they were applying the dak symbol to the sides of the trucks. Nice job on ther kubel build.... congrats

Hi thanks mate the stencil looks a bit ropey but it works within reason , can always hide some under dust

Thanks Andy
