Re: ELMOD
I just took a look at the Pro manual, now I see where you are coming from.
The only thing that I can suggest is that if you are using a 4 channel radio, then put a multimeter on the two pins and check the voltage while you try the left stick in all positions. Bottom left/right may do the trick?
If there is no voltage no matter what you do with it, then either the power is not getting to the pins, or the signal is not getting to the board that activates the pins.
As the manual doesn't mention needing more than 4 channels then it should operate the same way as the previous version. The additional channels are just for moving the start/gun/mg, plus extra sound.
I told you the extra channels on the radio would be a pain to find...Panzerketten may have the answer, they have an English section, and Elmod have their own area that is moderated by their English speaking techs. Thomas is a mod on there.
Cheers

Re: ELMOD
I agree with you. Anything up past the four channel set up is made for aircraft and they become difficult with mixing channels and such. The Pro and Eco versions are similar in function, but they are not completely the same. I believe that I will get it sorted out soon, and like most things, the first time is the hardest. I added sounds to the PzIII last night and took your advice using the turret functions and adding to them. All came out pretty good and I am pleased with the results. Again, if not for you, I would still be scratching my head here. Thank you. If I can contribute anything or help you with your site please let me know.

Rob, I wanted to share my PzIII with you. Here is a video testing the features using a 4 channel set-up on the ECO version elmod with soundblaster 4. this is using a 2 by 3 speaker. the Tiegr will have the Pro version and also a battle system installed. Let me know what you think of it.

Re: ELMOD
Coming from you sir, that means more than words. If not for your expertise, I would have never got it working.
I was just doing some teaking with the elmod configurator too. I am using the handheld unit as I cannot get the pc version to work yet.
Seems after some arguing with the configurator unit, it has to be done with the tank running, not just the electronics on. It works very well though and I am pleased with the results. Now, I have found something you might like. Here is a link to custom sounds that we can convert to elmod use.
http://www.freewebs.com/sengirvampire/soundpacks.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Also, do you have any source to a real KT firing its main gun? I cannot find one anywhere.
As for pics, just say the word and please send me your email addy as I hate the pm on this forum. I will send anything you need for the site.

Ice, can you tell me what the radio has? Is it knobs, or 3-way switches for the extra channels?[ICE]monkey wrote:ive got the futaba 2.4, 7c , this works with elmod , not the cheapest tx by far but a good reliable one, as stated one of the spare channels needs to be fully proportional ,eg a three way switch or turn dial

Re: ELMOD
Rob, I was wondering if you have still been working on the website for elmod?
I am also curious to know if you have any links to sound files for any of the newer armor that is coming out...like the T-55? I would like to make my own files, but it is sooo dfficult trying to find a ideo without backround noise.

Re: ELMOD
Hi Yellow Shaker, Was reading your posts on the elmod pro. I have this in my Heng Long Tiger 1. I am using a futaba 7c radio with r617fs receiver. The left stick does not have self centring on up down movement but you can get the spring to correct this for about £2.
Controls right stick forwards reverse turn
left stick turret rotation, gun elevation half deflection, full up main gun, 2/3 down deflection turret mg, full down hull mg
3 way switch up start up, down light, middle nothing.
rotating knob also works turret mg. Would like to deactivate the turret mg control on the left stick and just use the knob.
homemade brake light works when braking just connented to socket
I will merge sounds to other sounds with Wibblwobbly's help.
Nice radio. comes with rechargeable battery and charges with socket in the radio. 10 MODEL MEMORY.
Lot of switches tha seem to do nothing. Bonds to receiver realy easily.

Re: ELMOD
Hey John! I am runnign an Airtonics RDS 8000. It's a very good radio for elmod with 10 model memory and also bonds very easily. I have een using my Tiger on 4 channel mode with PRO version and added sounds to the existing extra channels.
I am just wondering now about ustom engine sounds for tanks. I love the custom Tiger 1 sounds I downloaded, but some of the other sounds are much lower. The Tiger really growls! I am hoping that my Leo sounds as good.
